Nat King Cole‘s family has suffered a great tragedy.
According to reports, the late music legend’s great-nephew Tracy Cole was fatally stabbed in Atlanta, Georgia.
Fox 5 Atlanta broke the news, reporting that the 31-year-old was stabbed on Thursday, September 14 in the early morning. He died of his injuries at a hospital.

Aside from being related to the music legend, Tracy was involved in the local cigar community, who mourned the loss on social media.
“The Atlanta cigar community is deeply saddened by the loss of such a vibrant soul. We at ACW extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and close friends of [Tracy],” Atlanta Cigar Week wrote on Instagram. The organizations put together a moment of silence to honor him.
An investigation into the attack is still ongoing. Tracy‘s uncle Lionel Cole spoke to WSB-TV, asking for anyone with information to come forward.
Tracy leaves behind family, including a girlfriend and a seven-year-old son. We are sending love to everyone who knew and loved Tracy and wish them well at this difficult time. RIP.
