Kevin Ross is changing the landscape of R&B with his record breaking streak as an independent artist and his newly released EP Midnight Microdose Vol. 2. The closing track off his new EP “Ready For It” featuring the one and only Eric Bellinger was released in advance to build momentum and tease the impending drop of Midnight Microdose Vol. 2. “Ready For It” is a deeply devoted and sensually sublime love anthem that got the whole world talking, and now, the music video to pair has excitement riding at an all time high.
Over lush, windswept riffs, dreamlike harmonies shared between Bellinger and Ross, and a crescendo of imaginative beats, the music video for “Ready For It” takes you on a riveting journey. The music video opens as Kevin Ross composes a string of late night texts to a woman. When the conversation fizzles out, he decides to throw in the towel and go to bed. Kevin Ross dreams he’s a luxury driver and by happenstance, picks up Eric Bellinger and the aforementioned love interest. After the two passengers flee the scene, Ross notices a Louis Vuitton suitcase that Bellinger has left behind. He wakes from the dream in a haze, only to find that the very same suitcase is lying next to him in bed. Leaving us with a cliffhanger, the music video for “Ready For It” is a thrill-chasing saga that has only just begun.
