Fred Waves delivers brilliant guitar solos during his heartfelt indie-rock single “Feel It In My Bones”

Making a huge statement with his emotional indie-rock single, titled “Feel It In My Bones”, Fred Waves doesn’t hold back and we are absolutely here for it. Throughout the track, he delivers some of the best guitar solos we’ve heard all year, and that’s not to mention the heartfelt lyrics and his awesome vocals. This new single release acts as the follow-up to “Dead Flowers”.

Fred Waves is an emerging indie rock artist hailing from Sweden, now based in Berlin. With a musical journey spanning five years, Fredrik Sundqvist has meticulously crafted his dreamy and vibrant indie-rock project. Immersed in the local music scene, Fred Waves began his musical exploration in Katrineholm before finding inspiration in Berlin, where he currently resides. Despite the challenges of the global pandemic, Fred Waves embraced the solitude, honing his sound and writing captivating songs. Venturing to Florida, he immersed himself in the live music circuit, gaining invaluable experience before returning to Berlin in 2022. With an arsenal of heartfelt lyrics, howling guitar solos, and a handpicked band of talented musicians, Fred Waves is ready to unleash his unique indie-rock sound to the world. He dropped his debut single, “Take My Time”, last year which was followed up with “Sweet Haze” at the start of the year – which has quickly become his most-streamed track out of his four solid single releases, to date, with over tens of thousands of Spotify streams across all released songs. Fred Waves’ music is a delightful blend of dreamy melodies, neon-lit aesthetics, and heartfelt storytelling, inviting listeners to embark on a sonic adventure filled with infectious energy and memorable hooks.

Written by Fredrik Sundqvist in his Katrineholm apartment back in 2019 just before he was set to leave for Berlin, “Feel It In My Bones” encapsulates dissonance in life with an original indie-rock beat surrounding dark emotional verse vocals that open up to awesome pop-rock chorus vocals. Fred Waves’ voice takes us on a journey from start to finish with versatility throughout as he delves deep into the feelings of throwing away past worries – his incredible voice and lyrics really transport the listener into his Katrineholm apartment as he gears up to leave the world as he knew it behind, just as he’s about to make a new life for himself in Berlin. There are some unforgettable guitar solo segments throughout the track, that only adds to the genuine and passionate lyrics, touching our very hearts – we haven’t heard solos anywhere near as exceptional and creative, this year, as the ones in this stunning track. It’s an incredibly addictive track that is highly relatable to many, and one we can’t help but listen to again and again as Fred Waves manages to make us feel “Feel It In My Bones” right in our bones. The track was co-produced by Fred Waves and Dutch musician Bo Keijmel, who also plays bass on the track, with German and Serbian natives Hendrick Görsch and Filip Jankovic on lead guitar and rhythm guitar respectively, while Italian musician Giorgio Murer delivers on drums, and Max Glass from Germany is on keys.

Talking about the track, Fred Waves said: “This song is one of the first Fred Waves songs that was ever written, and it’s been through a lot since the original version was recorded on an old MacBook back in 2019. The final version really encapsulates the spirit of this project and shows the musical ground on which the project stands, with its playful and classic indie-rock roots. The song is about contemplating your past mistakes and realizing that your future does not have to be chained down by them, you can dance through life instead!”
